After the high pitch of design activity, it was more than a week until Frank got back to his sketchbook. Presumably he would have been down at the Brislington tramworks all week, supervising the build of the prototype.

Today he produced one rather hasty sketch outlining the fittings on the aileron trailing edge, and since there’s no sign of a ruler, one can imagine him taking the sketchbook down to Brislington and roughing it out on the workshop floor, with the airframe fitters offering advice.
