199A. Richard Chillingford’s View

07/10/2015

This, verbatim, is an email from Theo’s schoolfriend, Richard Chillingord, who was with us on Saturday. How wonderful that it’s not just us that gets enthusiastic!

Hi Theo,

Thanks for inviting me to join you at Shuttleworth on Saturday, it was a fantastic day.  The weather here was fine and sunny with hardly any wind on Sunday, so I hope everything went well for you and the Scout at the display.

Note the quiet smile of satisfaction at a good job, done well!  (It's clearer in the full size frame).  Also, look at the artistic sweep of the oil stains - and you wiped them off, you vandal!

How did it go, squire?

Thanks again for inviting me, a privilege and a thrill – I’m still buzzing and telling everyone who will listen, and a few who won’t, about my day watching the Scout fly again. And seeing the Hurricane arrive.  And meeting Dodge.  And sneaking through the hangers when no-one was looking….   What happens next, now this milestone has been reached?  I meant to ask on Saturday but somehow didn’t get around to it.

Ummm… down to us, now Richard, as soon as the weather plays ball…
