The wooden Lewis gun replica on 1264 is okay, but a year ago I asked Vladek Vacha to make us a more accurate replica in steel.
The result is amazing. Using the photo above which is of Kinkead on a slightly later Bristol Scout 3040 at Thassos, he’s come up with a Lewis gun that looks like no other and I will be very interested to find out more about the modifications made.
It’s likely we’ll have to modify our mounts when it arrives, but that shouldn’t take too long…
